Buyer's Etiquette: Craigslist


  1. Pay attention to WHERE the item is listed as located in the ad
  2. If it says buyer must pick up, don't ask them to meet you.
  3. Don't be outraged when the seller doesn't want to drive clear across town for a $10 sale.
  4. If they buyer gives you their availability for pick up, don't suggest different times.
  5. If the seller says they are at work, do not blow up their phone.
  6. Text messages sent at 5:00 a.m. may not get responded to before work. Sorry. 
  7. If you say you will be in touch, actually do the follow up.
  8. Don't suggest payment by check when the ad says cash only.
  9. Don't be insulted when the person does allow you to pay by check, but won't arrange for pick up until it clears.
  10. Don't insist the seller text you or give you an address before they are ready.

Best Laid Plans

I sat down and crafted a list of blog topics last night, and the plan was start working through that list tonight. It was going to be the start of a true reboot of this old thing. While I had planned on picking my stepdaughter up at the Boys and Girls Club after work I didn't plan on: 1) The amazon parrot needing me to make a food stop on the way home 2) My stepdaugher wanting me to watch her practice for color guard 3) That working on our budget would take nearly as long as it did. 4) Being this exhausted for no particular reason Now I sit here with a basset hound in my lap, and I am awkwardly trying to type on my laptop without disturbing him.
