My First Wedding as the Photographer

Okay...in all honesty it might be my only wedding as a photographer, but it was still a great experience.

Months ago, my friend asked me to be the photographer for her wedding. I was honored. Then I was terrified. The fear got worse as the date grew closer.

The night before the wedding, I stayed awake pretty much all night.
1) I had no idea what I was doing. Yes, the bride and I had talked. She had made me a list of the photos she wanted. I memorized said list. Still, I had never done this before.
2) What if the pictures turned out awful? This is her WEDDING DAY. It's a huge deal.
3) What if I overslept, was late, had car trouble and messed up her wedding day?

Needless to say I was a nervous wreck.

I worked hard the day of the wedding, and it was an amazing experience. It was a long day, but I was honor to be part of it.

The pictures are actually pretty good. I have just wrapped up the basic edits. I have another round of eliminations to finish up tonight/Sunday, and then it is on to more advanced edits if needed.

I may never get a chance to do this again, but I am grateful for the opportunity.
