Depressing pet listings

I’ve been looking for a slightly bigger and nicer cage for Beaker and Batty. Their cage is adequate, but I was thinking about finding them something just a little more like Popcorn and Skye’s cage. I looked around at pet stores, and I found many cages in my price range (around $200), but none of them really did anything for me. I need something that will still easily fit in my car, and not be to heavy or awkward to carry. Yes, I know cages are expensive, that wasn’t my issue. The cages I liked were too big or bulky. I can’t get Popcorn and Skye’s cage in the front seat. Even in the back seat, I can’t get the cage seat belted in. I needed a cage that would still be car safe for road trips or when all four of them go to the vet. After the pet stores let me down, I looked on Craigslist.org. Maybe I would have better luck there. I didn’t and instead I was just appalled by some of the things I read on there. Yes there were many people who had found stray or lost pets, or had to give up the...

06/17 Update

New on teh travel Blog Expedia More to come later this evening! Do you have any travel questions? Leave a comment here or send me an e-mail and I will do some research!

One month,

Today the Travel blog is one month old...and doing just fine. we are at over 200 page views, and like I said yesterday we are getting hits from search engines, new friends are adding us their blog rolls and we are getting "fans" from all over the world. Yesterday I discovered a girl in Japan had plagiarized my latest entry. She copied and pasted it into a travel forum she posts to. I've had sites use my work on Associated Content without authorization before, so I check up on my work through Google alerts and engines that can my work and try to find it other places on the net. I know I'm not a world famous blogger, or making my whole living off of this, but I need to do my best to protect my work. This was a mixed bag. Yes I was flattered that she liked my post enough to want to share it, but she didn't credit me for it. The travel blog is not generating revenue as of yet ( but I think we might be headed that way soon) so it wasn't like money was on the line o...

Keeping Busy

We have a new travel blog entry on Hotwire I ma really encouraged by the travel log. It is really taking off. I am generating traffic off of search engines and most of my traffic is from non-friends. As much as I love my friends and regular readers, it is awesome to see the readership is growing! Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come. I think I am going to stop using my myspace blog, and start only blogging on here and maybe printnpost...except for more personal bloggings...so be looking here for more full features! Are you looking for a copywriter? Do you need a freelance writer? If so you are in the right place. Check out some of my work, and contact me for more details!

How I feel today

Image
While I am VERY grateful for my full time job (despite the fact it is driving me crazy and I really do want to write and work fom home, I'm lucky to have steady income and benefits) but this morning just grinds my gears a little. 1) It is one of those dead Saturdays. I was telling a friend last night that we have 2 kind sof Saturdays here. Ones that are insane and ones that are dead. This is one of the dead ones. the bad thing is the dead weeks out number the crazy weeks, BUT the crazy weeks happen frequently enough there is no way they will take Saturdays away. 2) That being said, even with the low amount of students today has been interesting. Did i mention we had a tornado drill at 9:00 this morning. I evacuated my lab, and then just for kicks stuck my head out into the lobby to see if whomever was evacuating the lobby needed help...and there ws no one doing that! I ran out there and managed to herd those students into the back hallway. 3) Banner, our new Student Inform...
