My apartment complex is gutting the main office building. Our laundry room is located in that building so it is out of commission until March. I will be the first to admit that the laundry room as it was really was inadequate and just a mess. I am glad we are getting a new one. We are also going to be getting washer and dryers in our units. However, until then I am banished to the world of the Carmel Laundromat.   I really have nothing against Laundromats. I even use the one in Carmel when I need to wash my bedding. The little washers in the laundry room just take too long to wash all my bedding. However, I'm usually not there for too long, maybe an hour at most. Today's trip was about two hours of fun. I had not done laundry for about two weeks, plus I had tons of towels and bedding to wash too. Most of you know that my dad has been in the hospital. I already have misgivings about insurance companies, but new evidence takes the cake. The reason my father went into the hospital is because he has an arrhythmia. This causes his blood pressure to drop and that is a BAD thing. Usually when this happens they do a procedure to get his heart back in a regular rhythm and all is good in the world. Instead they found another condition that means the sac (yes I said sac..giggle and get over it) has calcium deposits on it. This could be caused by a virus or by exposure to beryllium..but that us a rant for another day. They later discovered that the calcium had adhered itself to his heart, so it like his heart is in a glass jar. He has to have the surgery to get the calcium deposits off before they can do the ablation to fix his heart rate. One day I woke up and found myself in the middle of this drama. I wasn’t sure how I ended up there, but I knew I wasn’t happy. I had worked too hard to be myself and to start to be okay with being me (for the most part) to let this negativity bring me down. When you struggle with self worth, it is an up hill battle most times. We are our own worst enemy. Along with fighting my inner demons and society’s conventions, I was faced with all this external garbage. I am a pretty flexible person. I have forgiven many things. To save friendships, I have all but forgotten painful memories. Even though it broke my heart, I tried to be understanding when people have said or done something cruel. I have still believed in people who have betrayed my trust. Above all I have wished for happiness for everyone in my life, even if it made me miserable. Despite the hurt and pain all of these things bring, I would gladly do them again. I love my friends and family too much to do anything else....

music for thought Current mood: cranky I should have gone out tonight. I should have gone to Lulu's. I should have spent time with my friends. Instead, I just couldn't get over this blah feeling. It isn't like I sat at home and cried on my couch all night...so not the case. I just had zero modivation to do ANYTHING. Maybe it was this crappy week paired with my sinus/allergy crap. Maybe it is my lack of sleep. I don't know what it is, but I want it to go away. Some of it is that I know there is something I have to do, but I am terrified of it, AND I have no idea of where to even start.
