How I feel today

Image
While I am VERY grateful for my full time job (despite the fact it is driving me crazy and I really do want to write and work fom home, I'm lucky to have steady income and benefits) but this morning just grinds my gears a little. 1) It is one of those dead Saturdays. I was telling a friend last night that we have 2 kind sof Saturdays here. Ones that are insane and ones that are dead. This is one of the dead ones. the bad thing is the dead weeks out number the crazy weeks, BUT the crazy weeks happen frequently enough there is no way they will take Saturdays away. 2) That being said, even with the low amount of students today has been interesting. Did i mention we had a tornado drill at 9:00 this morning. I evacuated my lab, and then just for kicks stuck my head out into the lobby to see if whomever was evacuating the lobby needed help...and there ws no one doing that! I ran out there and managed to herd those students into the back hallway. 3) Banner, our new Student Inform...

Novella news

Novella News: The Novella has also gone live on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Running-Away-Jennifer-Hammitt/dp/1438213905/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1208983581&sr=11-1 I also have a new one over on the paid blog: http://www.printnpost.com/blogs/3730/My-First-Business-Trip.html

I'm on Amazon

The novel is finally in the mass market!

Even more news

Well I'm just as suprised as you all are, but Running Away is now available online at: http://www. createspace. com/3342099 It is 166 pages and it is $10. It will also be on Amazon within 15 days...so yay on that too. I'll have a link for that one too as soon as I have one.

Novel and Novella 2.0

Life Jump Started: Will be available on Amazon within the next 15 days. Because of some formatting changes the price had to be upped to $12, but it is still less than the $15 on lulu.com. So yay there. It is available for that price at my storefront at http://www.createspace.com/3340585 I'll have the Amazon link as soon as they send it to me. I'm hoping to have it sometime this week, but they did say it could take up to 15 days so we will just have to see. With the new formatting the book has a new cover color, and it coming in at 210 pages. I've also submitted Running Away to be published on Amazon. I am hoping that with what I learned with the novel it will also be available some time in May. Once it is initally approved it will be available at http://www.createspace.com/3342099 and then Amazon shortly after that. Once I have the Amazon link I will be sure to get it posted.

Novel Update

The Good News: The good news is I finally got my ISBN numbers for both the novel and the novella...YAY!!! So now I can sell them in my own storefront, on Amazon and even in stores if I want. Life Jump Started has already been greenlighted to be sold through Amazon. com...well once I figure out how to format my book cover. The Bad News: My Cover PDF doesn't meet their guidelines...and I'm not sure why and the "template" they sent me to "help" me make a new one is beyond confusing...but if this is the worst thing that happens...I'll be a happy girl. Once I have all the links and details I will post away...

4/1 update

Associated Content Page View Count: 51,134…yes that is up over 1,000 from 3/25. I need to keep this up so I am going to have to hammer out at least three good articles over the next couple weeks and keep promoting things as usual. As always…I’m not asking you to spend money on me (but buying a book would be nice) read my items, leave comments, click on a few ads while you are there and help a friend out. I will only cost a few minutes of your time. Do not ask me what is wrong with Rain Tiger. I’m scared it may have been hit with a virus again. It looks like the format changed to April 08, but none of the content did. Once it is up and running I will post a link. I’ve been trying to get a hold of my editor all morning, but I have had no luck. Last night was very productive. I spent the night working on my outline and then plugging in my notes into that outline. The changes I have made are that as of right now I am down from 15 chapters to 13, but I think that might be for th...

New Website Feature

Hey Folks! I have Added a new feature to my little corner of the internet. If you look to the right you will see a feed. This is my Twitter feed. It is an update that will let you know what I am working on, and I usually post new urls there too. You can follow me on Twitter by clicking on the "Follow me of Twitter" link at the bottom of the feed.

Writing Update

We are officially over 50,000 Page Views on Associated Content. There were a few glitches this month that lowered the over all Page Views, but I am still happy to have reached this Benchmark considering how few articles I have been putting up this month. The focus really has been on the novel and on promoting the material I already have out there. Still 400 page views in 3 days is nothing to be balk at considering I writing and promoting only happens when the full time and the teaching jobs allow. I may have found an interested publisher for the new novel. The are called Atelier Press, LLC. The are a new, smaller press, but still I think that their vision and my writing may be a good match. Now the catch is I need to haul arse and get the new novel finished. NO I’m not sure how I am going to make the time…and do the regular jobs and all the other writing work, but I’m sure I will figure something out. I did move into the organizational piece last night. I have pages and pages...
