First….the award Wow…I mean I knew I had been working hard, but really I didn't see this coming. I remember reading that Associated Content was going to recognize their top 1000 Content Producers. I just didn't think I would be one of them. I have been writing with them for nearly 2 years now, but I don't write full time. I just do not have the time to promote my work like many of the other CPs, so when I logged onto my account and saw the Top 1000 icon on my page, I just about died. I'm not sure of all the criteria AC used, but I'm pretty sure I would have made the top ranks with out you guys suffering through my articles and blogs. Thanks so much! It is encouraging though. With all the work I've put in over the past few months seems more worth while. There are times were I just feel like giving up this whole writing thing. I mean I guess I could work in education for the rest of my life. Yeah, I make money writing, but it could be years before thin...

I can make slideshows for AC too, ut they are tiny and it is sometimes hard to read the print unless it is a huge font...so this seems to be a better way to get my work out there and to attract traffic. I'm hoping for the bigger pay off in the future I guess. I'm also intersted in getting some video content up and posted within the next few months. Thanks again for all of your support!

My apartment complex is gutting the main office building. Our laundry room is located in that building so it is out of commission until March. I will be the first to admit that the laundry room as it was really was inadequate and just a mess. I am glad we are getting a new one. We are also going to be getting washer and dryers in our units. However, until then I am banished to the world of the Carmel Laundromat.   I really have nothing against Laundromats. I even use the one in Carmel when I need to wash my bedding. The little washers in the laundry room just take too long to wash all my bedding. However, I'm usually not there for too long, maybe an hour at most. Today's trip was about two hours of fun. I had not done laundry for about two weeks, plus I had tons of towels and bedding to wash too. Most of you know that my dad has been in the hospital. I already have misgivings about insurance companies, but new evidence takes the cake. The reason my father went into the hospital is because he has an arrhythmia. This causes his blood pressure to drop and that is a BAD thing. Usually when this happens they do a procedure to get his heart back in a regular rhythm and all is good in the world. Instead they found another condition that means the sac (yes I said sac..giggle and get over it) has calcium deposits on it. This could be caused by a virus or by exposure to beryllium..but that us a rant for another day. They later discovered that the calcium had adhered itself to his heart, so it like his heart is in a glass jar. He has to have the surgery to get the calcium deposits off before they can do the ablation to fix his heart rate. My dad was supposed to have surgery Friday, but some idiot forgot to take him off one of his blood thinners, so he now has to wait. Toledo Hos...
