My I-POD I am not a fan of lots of people in really small places. If I have to handle it I will. Like if I am at work and there are tons of people in my shoebox sized office, I just deal with them one person at a time. I prefer to to go by the bubble concept. I like my personal space, and I am not a fan of people (especially people I don't know) invading my space. There is a long running joke with my friends: Rule #1: Don't touch Jenni. In a way it is true. I'm not a fan of people I do not know and trust in my space. Even if I know and trust you, I'm not all about being in close quarters. There have been nights in the DJ booth where I have had lots of anxiety. There were just too many people in the compact area. I liked all the people in the booth, but there just wasn't enough room. Honestly I have not had time to see any pranks online. I checked out the Guster site, but between the tour and the kids they didn't deliver their usual April Fools Day prank. The one prank I should have seen, I totally missed. Redgage (one of the social media sites I belong to) has a link at the top of their page that says it was bought by Microsoft for an undisclosed amount of money. They have a link for you to follow for more information. The link takes you to the bottom of the page where it tells you it was a joke. I was in a hurry when I uploaded pictures off my Blackberry and totally missed the link. Later I was looking at new content. Again, I missed the link. It wasn't until I reached the bottom of the page that I saw the April Fools message. Of course then I was confused. Eventually I found the link at the top of the page and it made sense. I love my apartment. The location is perfect. There is shopping, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, bands and the post office are withing walking distance. The rent is decent. Management takes good care of the property. I work full time downtown, but I work and my friends live in the north suburbs. My apartment is almost perfectly centered between the two. I love my furniture layout and the little touches that make it mine. Still, I sometimes wonder what it would be like if we had a little more room. We need more space. Okay I need more space. The birds really only roam in a small area. We have out grown our one bedroom apartment. Well we haven't out grown it as of now, but we are at that point. I need a place for family to and friends to stay while they are in town, I need more storage space. The biggest need is an office. Right now I am running a business from my love seat. It is super comfortable, but not ideal. I want a kitchen that is bigger than a glorified hallway. I want to...

I should not be allowed around tools. I'm okay with basic things. I can fix minor things, unclog a vacuum cleaner, assemble easy to assemble furniture (in that regards I am a step ahead of my mother...lets just say my computer desk assembly took much longer than it ever should have.). Outside of that I should not allowed to be build or install anything. If something major breaks, I will only make it worse. If you need someone to write a scholarly journal on the effects of violence in media...I'm your girl. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a journalist. I had dreams of my work being in print an working my way up at one of the big newspapers. Now I am just shy of 30, and newspapers are on the endangered species list. I'm grateful to the Eastern Echo. Their negative press about the Marching Band (yes I know I'm lame...but the misinformation they printed made me mad),and the horribly insensitive article they wrote after one of our saxophone players died on his way to the Homecoming Game made me walk away from print news media. I had my employment card filled out, and I was all ready to work for them. I had even been by the office a few times to see if they had any stories I was interested in. Their biased and unprofessional article made me walk away. Instead I found new life in electronic media. Now, electronic media is how I prefer to get my news. We love the movies we love because we can internalize something from the movie. We "get" how a character is feeling. We sympathize or empathize with a situation. Sometimes though a character is us to a T. we can't escape how much they remind us of ourselves. For me it is Abby Barnes from The Truth About Cats and Dogs. Abby is sadly so me. She's smart, sarcastic and ambitious. She has put her career first, and she is very independent. Of course all those positives come with some negatives. Her sarcasm can sometimes lead to negativity. She has horrible self esteem. She doesn't believe she deserves the things she wants most. Her best friend is amazingly hot. This of course gets her in trouble. Yep that is me. I have to dress up every day. I hate it. I look forward to getting home and changing into my real clothes. Now what I change into is totally determined by what I am going to be doing that evening. If I am just staying home and blogging, I am all about being comfortable. I change into jeans and a t-shirt. If I am going to work from home, I might as well be comfortable. No one is going to see me, so I'm not a slave to fashion. If I am running errands, I may change into jeans and shoes. I want to be comfortable, but I still want to look nice. Maybe I have watched too many episodes of What Not to Wear, but I sort of what to be able to take pride in my appearance while in public. If I am working, then it depends on where I'm working and my mood. if the bar is very casual, they I am less apt to dress up. If it is a nicer place, I usually dress nicer than just a nice t-shirt. If I had to eat one type of cuisine for a year, I would be very torn. I am an adventurous eater. I'm all about trying new cuisine. It might not be my cup of tea, but at least I know I tried it. My addiction of choice is caffeine. I make no apologies for this. Without it I have awful headaches and some days I can barely function, While I am not nearly as dependent as I used to be, my need for diet dr pepper is still strong. It wasn't until high school that my addiction started. Even in junior high, I started to pick up a can of dr pepper in the vending machine at school. I was already starting to add on activities. Again, my consumption went up as I would get a dr pepper at my break. Then I started working days. Being at work at 6:30 a.m. was rough. i could not stand the smell let alone the taste of coffee. Ever since I learned how to drive, music has been a key component of my driving. The longer I am in the car, the more it is needed. No road trip is complete without it's own soundtrack. High energy, singable and fun music can make the hours go by faster and your trip a little more fun. Many of my favorites are from lesser known bands, but their music is perfect while I am behind the wheel. Sixteen Candles by Sponge It is such a strong and energetic song. It is perfect for keeping you awake and going on a long trip. Too Much too Soon by Llama Too Much too Soon is one of those songs you can't help singing along with. I can be good about my diet. I usually just do not buy the items that I know I cannot be trusted around. However, on really bad days, a trip to Target is needed to pick up the one thing that can make my day feel a little better. present2 by Anyaka My weakness is Ghiradelli Chocolate. I love the hot fudge. If I am in a city where there is a Ghiradelli store I am so there. Since there is not one in Indianapolis, I have to settle for the the squares and bars instead. My favorites are the caramel filled ones, but the new peanut butter ones are at the top of the list too. I know chocolate is chocolate, but there is something about the way it tastes. It isn't exactly a high end brand, but it still makes me happier than plan old Hersheys does.

When I was 15, I really wanted to go to France with my French Club. My parents said I could go, but I had to get a job to pay for it. I was living in a small town. We had a Subway, but they wouldn't hire me because I wasn't 16. That was the same story with the grocery store and the pharmacy. I couldn't drive, so I had to be able to walk there. That left the two family restaurants. Faye's was closer to the house and I knew they were looking for employees. I was employed at Faye's Whippy Dip (yes laugh now) for exactly eleven months. Those eleven months taught me a great deal about myself and about the world. I was a waitress, and of course did the usual waitress things: waited tables, cleared tables and washed dishes. Faye's was a small town family resturant. In the summer we were usually bust serving ice cream to base ball teams and local. I'm not the typical gadget junkie. Don't get me wrong, I love my I-POD, Blackberry, Laptop and my DVR as much as the next person, but I'm not all about the newest thing on the market. Still, there are a few things that are high up on my wish list. [D] by Capture Queen ™ This is a two way tie. One item is purely for selfish reasons. The other is just to help me streamline my life and my business. The first item is a flat panel TV. The other is a Blackberry Curve 8900. The flat panel television is my purely selfish want. My current TV still works fine, but I would like a newer TV. I received my TV for free 7 years ago, and it was old then. I just think it would be nice to have TV that doesn't require a whole other attachment to run my Wii and my DVD player. Also, my current TV is heavier than sin. This is a tricky situation. I know of so many people, organizations and causes that deserve the money. If someone came to me today, I would probably have to say: 1) First I would give my parents whatever they need to pay off their debt. I'm not sure how much that would be, but I do want them to be able to just enjoy life! 2) Half of the remaining money would go to a Avian Rescue. Taking in unwanted birds is a costly enterprise. You have to find adequate cages, be able to feed them, and if they have medical needs ( many neglected birds do...many have never been taken to the vet not to mention any other issues that may have developed). This can help them care for the birds and possibly be able to afford more reasonable adoption fees. I'm not saying a $100 fee for a Macaw, but just make it more affordable for these birds for find a good home. 3) The other half would go to diabetes research. I've watched my dad battle this disease, and I always hope that they will find somet...
