TGIF!!!

Thank God it is Friday!!! I know I keep promising a Red Gage update...and tonight it will happen. I have lots of great things to post there, but the site is in Beta. That means it isn't always working right. I am hopeful we have all the bugs worked out soon. I've made this all so great decision to start a week in review blog on Common Sense Police. I kept coming up with these "ideas" for blogs that just were too short to dedicate to a single blog. Instead of wasting these little gems, I am going to start compling them into one big blog on Fridays. The First one is admittedly a bit lame...but give me some time to hone and perfect them. You can see the first stab here: 9/15 A Week in Review . I'm also apparently back in favor with the Culturefeast editor (lol I'm so kidding I was never out of favor. He just had several more timely political blogs to get in. I totally understand!) So you can read more about the parent's house fire here. By the time the weeked...

The daily installment of Common Sense and some Culture

Today brings us a few new blog sightings! First a look at call center short comings at the Common Sense Police Next we have some Political Rantings (of course all bipartisan ranting...I refuse to party bash) and DVR talk over on CultureFeast: How DiD I live Before My DVR Why I don't talk about Politics More updates are forthcoming...I'm hoping to get a new post or two on Red Gage but until then Check out my exisiting Red Gage Pictures and Blogs Here!

I just don't get people

On Monday, I had a less than plesant encounter with a rude and irate woman. She called my number to find out about her Distance Ed test. However, I do not handle distance ed testing. She went on an obscenity laced tirade about how I was lazy and bad at my job. 1) I do not work for Distance Ed Testing 2) I do not have access to the Distance Ed files because they are on the Academic Server and I work for academic advising. 3) If she wants to know when a test is due,it will be in her sylibus. 4) Yeah I feel bad that no one answered the phone up there, but I am pretty sure the hours are listed on the voice mail. 5) Oh yes cussing at me is so going to help. I'm going to most likely hang up on you after i copy your number and give it to my supervisor to issue a complaint against you. Check out more on this story here. Ughh...people kill me sometimes!

Playing Catch Up

Time to get back on track at Common Sense Police And Get the whole Chloe Story on Redgage

Today at Common Sense Police

Some food for thought: What would happen if people stop expecting the world to do them favors, figured out life wasn't fair, and took personal responisblity for their actions? What do you think would happen?

The Whole Chloe Story

Many of you know I adapoted a parakeet over the weekend. Of course I blogged about it! Click Here for the whole story! Also, I'm having some issues uploading to Red Gage, so I didn't get to post a new blog there last night. Hopefully I'll get that fixed.

What is going on

Well it has been busy around these parts. but I'm glad to say things are going well. Right now I have my rant blog and my other stuff and photo blog: Fun Stuff Rant Blog I try to write on both each day...so I'm getting my therapy and I'm talking about positive things too. I've started working on thngs for EHow again, and I will hopefully have a new round of articles for Associated Content coming up soon as well.I will of course have links! In other news I adopted another parakeet this weekend. Her name is Chloe, and despite her awful situation she is adapting well to her new life. Now we just need to get the boys to warm to her!

On the Eve Of My 29th Birthday....wait no...it is my 29th now

Another year down! As of 5:30 am I will officially be 29.  This is a very scary thing! As I become a year older, I have been really thinking about things an taking stock of my life. Of course there is good and bad....the question is:Is there balance and what am I focusing on? Lets get the Cons out of the way first (I want to end with the happy) 1) I'm still single 2) My full time job is reaching burnout stage 3) I"m not a full time writer 4) I'm still overweight 5) Some days I just really hate me 6) I just realized I have no one to go watch the new X-FIles movie with next weekend Pros: 1) I'm single..but happy...yeah it sucks from time to time. I would love to have someone else help paying the bills and to come home to. However, I know what I want and while I'm not sure if I will find it...or  if I will be good enough for it when I do I'm still trying 2) I have awesome friends. That statement speaks volumes. for some reason, they seem to like me for me 3) I hav...

Travel Blog Update

Check out the latest on the travel blog at: http://jennlee3741.wordpress.com/2008/06/24/is-budget-travel-still-possible/

Depressing pet listings

I’ve been looking for a slightly bigger and nicer cage for Beaker and Batty. Their cage is adequate, but I was thinking about finding them something just a little more like Popcorn and Skye’s cage. I looked around at pet stores, and I found many cages in my price range (around $200), but none of them really did anything for me. I need something that will still easily fit in my car, and not be to heavy or awkward to carry. Yes, I know cages are expensive, that wasn’t my issue. The cages I liked were too big or bulky. I can’t get Popcorn and Skye’s cage in the front seat. Even in the back seat, I can’t get the cage seat belted in. I needed a cage that would still be car safe for road trips or when all four of them go to the vet. After the pet stores let me down, I looked on Craigslist.org. Maybe I would have better luck there. I didn’t and instead I was just appalled by some of the things I read on there. Yes there were many people who had found stray or lost pets, or had to give up the...

06/17 Update

New on teh travel Blog Expedia More to come later this evening! Do you have any travel questions? Leave a comment here or send me an e-mail and I will do some research!

One month,

Today the Travel blog is one month old...and doing just fine. we are at over 200 page views, and like I said yesterday we are getting hits from search engines, new friends are adding us their blog rolls and we are getting "fans" from all over the world. Yesterday I discovered a girl in Japan had plagiarized my latest entry. She copied and pasted it into a travel forum she posts to. I've had sites use my work on Associated Content without authorization before, so I check up on my work through Google alerts and engines that can my work and try to find it other places on the net. I know I'm not a world famous blogger, or making my whole living off of this, but I need to do my best to protect my work. This was a mixed bag. Yes I was flattered that she liked my post enough to want to share it, but she didn't credit me for it. The travel blog is not generating revenue as of yet ( but I think we might be headed that way soon) so it wasn't like money was on the line o...

Keeping Busy

We have a new travel blog entry on Hotwire I ma really encouraged by the travel log. It is really taking off. I am generating traffic off of search engines and most of my traffic is from non-friends. As much as I love my friends and regular readers, it is awesome to see the readership is growing! Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come. I think I am going to stop using my myspace blog, and start only blogging on here and maybe printnpost...except for more personal bloggings...so be looking here for more full features! Are you looking for a copywriter? Do you need a freelance writer? If so you are in the right place. Check out some of my work, and contact me for more details!
